Goldman Sachs makes financial commitment to new Dallas pediatric campus
DALLAS – Nov. 14, 2025 – UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s HealthSM today announced that Goldman Sachs has committed philanthropic support to the new $5 billion joint pediatric campus under construction in Dallas’ Southwestern Medical District, across from ½û·¬¶¯Âþ’s William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital.
The gift represents one of the earliest corporate donations to the project, which broke ground in October 2024 and will significantly expand inpatient, surgical, and ambulatory capacity in Dallas-Fort Worth to meet the needs of one of the fastest-growing and largest metropolitan areas in the country. The pediatric campus is projected to open in 2031.
“We are proud to support two premier health care providers, UT Southwestern and Children’s Health, in the development of a new pediatric hospital and campus that will serve families in North Texas and beyond for decades to come,” said Rob Kaplan, Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs and former President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Mr. Kaplan is also a member of the President’s Advisory Board at UT Southwestern.
One of the world’s leading financial institutions, Goldman Sachs is increasing its presence in Dallas with the construction of an 800,000-square-foot campus in Uptown near Victory Park. With more than 4,500 employees, the Dallas region represents the company’s largest employment base in the United States outside of its New York headquarters.

The region's pediatric population is expected to grow significantly by 2050, underscoring the urgent need for expanded access to high-quality pediatric care. The new pediatric campus in Dallas will span more than 4.9 million square feet anchored by Moody Children’s Hospital, featuring 552 beds in two 12-story towers and one eight-story tower.
